Principal In 2001, Natalie Rekstad-Lynn founded Salon d'Arts, an annual world-class fine art exhibition and sale featuring works by the greatest representational artists of our time. Net proceeds from the Salon d'Arts sale benefit Colorado Ballet and its community outreach programs, many which reach disadvantaged youth. Salon d'Arts goals are to promote long-term artistic integrity and education via visual and performing arts; to continuously enhance the community's economic and cultural development through funding to support Colorado Ballet missions and to strengthen Colorado's presence as an international cultural destination. The inaugural Salon was held in April 2002 at Colorado History Museum. The 2003 fine art sale and exhibition will have over $1 million worth of art available for purchase. Prior to establishing Salon d'Arts, Rekstad-Lynn volunteered with several art organizations including: the Board of Trustees for Art Students League of Denver, Board of Trustees for Colorado Ballet, and founder of the annual Very Special Arts (VSA) Fine Art Auction benefiting VSA arts of Colorado and is a VSA Honorary Board Member. Rekstad-Lynn has served as a "big sister" to an at-risk youth from 1996 to present. Rekstad-Lynn has seventeen years of experience in corporate travel management, most recently as vice president of sales and marketing for Andavo Travel, a $60 million travel firm based in Englewood. Natalie left corporate America in 2001 to pursue her passion for the arts. Rekstad-Lynn resides in Boulder, Colo. During her spare time, Rekstad-Lynn loves to travel and enjoys spending time snowshoeing, skiing and hiking with her husband and dogs. |
