ARTIST'S STATEMENT
"My friend Wayne is an interesting character. Maybe it's because he is from Australia, flies DC-10s, repairs fences on his Iowa hillside farm, is a family man and works diligently as a novelist in all the in-between moments. I wanted to capture him just in from the field, grabbing a snack while he ponders his latest work."
