Scott Fraser Henrii
Scott Fraser
28" x 28", oil on masonite
Private Collection

ARTIST'S STATEMENT
"The Henrii is a particularly showy variety of clematis. We have one growing in our courtyard, and it is not unusual for the blossoms to be the size of a plate. My daughter couldn't resist picking this one, and when I saw how striking it looked in the long slender vase, I knew how to paint it. Sometimes the simplest of images can make the strongest impact."
