ARTIST'S STATEMENT
The bleak winter months in Indiana give me a good excuse to retreat to my studio to paint still life and figures from life. It's reminiscent of my boyhood clubhouse where I would hole-up when the weather didn't allow us to go outside and play."
"In my studio, I have many objects from which to choose for subject matter. One of my favorites to paint is pond yachts. The quality of light on the sails and coming through the fabric of the sails is particularly interesting.
