ARTIST'S STATEMENT
"Memories evolved from my personal experiences diving among the dolphins in Southern California, and the writings of Loren Eiseley and Dr. John Lilly.

Through the studies of Dr. Lilly and others, we have been made aware that dolphins possess the ability to think in the abstract. A dolphin brain is as large as human brains in proportion to the body-we are separated only by virtue of a brain connection to a prehensile hand.

This one of a kind articulated bronze was purchased at the 1982 Artists of America Show by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gooding of Denver. I have since completed a second unique articulated transformation work, Another Intelligence, which features a rose resting inside as a sign of my reverence.

It remains my intent that these works may compel one to view this incredible creature from a deeper perspective."
